Mahila Kranthi (MK) is a community organisation (CO) of women in sex work in Uttara Kannada district in the state of Karnataka. The CO started its activities in 2008 with the support Samraksha and Karnataka Health Promotion Trust (KHPT).
MK has 1882 women in sex work as members and is registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960.
MK aims to build society's perspective to destigmatise sex work and reduce stigma and discrimination against female sex workers.
MK provides a range of services to empower its members.
The CO envisions enabling healthier and better lives for vulnerable women in sex work.
