Swetcha Mahila Sangam (SMS) is a community organisation (CO) established in 2008 to make the female sex worker community aware of STI/HIV prevention and adopt safe sex practices for better health. The CO works in West Godavari district of the Andhra Pradesh State of India.
SMS supports 1057 women in sex work and is registered under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Act 2001.
SMS aims to provide services for its members to achieve social and financial security, with access to safety and justice measures that will help them address crises effectively.
The variety of services provided by SMS helps its members lead healthier, safer lives.
SMS will work towards empowering its members to lead a socially and financially secure lives by the year 2020.
