Sree Shakthi Sangam (SSS), a community organisation (CO) in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh State in India works for empowering the female sex worker community. Founded in 2006, few of its initial activities included formation of crisis response and violence watch committees as part of efforts to sustain the HIV prevention activities.

SSS supports 300 members and is registered under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act 2001.


"SSS aims to enable communities to reduce the spread of HIV, lessen the impact of AIDS and improve quality of lives of its members.

Services Provided

SSS services to it's members focuses on helping them lead lives of dignity and good health.

  • Ensuring a safe and crises free environment for street based sex workers
  • Networking and linkages with government departments to ensure that members enjoy their rights without any hindrance
  • Creating a responsive and sensitised community neighbourhoods, where there is mutual understanding and respect between all its members
  • Providing HIV prevention services including positive prevention
  • Managing an unified help desk for members to better access and utilise the services of the CO

SSS envisions a healthy society, where people do not die of AIDS.
