Sneha Mahila Abhyudaya Sangam (SMAS) was established in 2008 in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh State in India. The community organisation (CO) was formed for the female sex workers' community in the district to come together and collectively resolve their problems.
SMAS supports 1625 female sex workers with its services and is registered under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act 2001.
Sneha aims to deliver on its community development agenda with a main focus on health and medical services provision for its members and sustain the HIV prevention programme. "
Sneha's services to its members are meant to help them lead healthier, safer and socially and financially secure lives.
SMAS hopes to inculcate and improve savings habit among its members and reach all community members living with HIV/AIDS prevention and care services.
